About the role
Job Description:
The Network Engineer is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, management, and optimization of network infrastructure within the program. This role supports efforts to ensure network reliability, performance, and security by working closely with IT teams and stakeholders to develop policies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with client IT policies and industry best practices. The Network Engineer also contributes to documentation development, network assessments, and modernization initiatives.
The Work:
- Assist in designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing network infrastructure.
- Support configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
- Use network analysis tools such as Wireshark to identify and help resolve issues.
- Contribute to SDN (Software‑Defined Networking) architecture efforts and automated configuration activities.
- Assist with network assessments, documentation updates, and configuration baseline development.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to support network policy development and ensure compliance with client IT standards.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve network incidents in coordination with senior engineers.
- Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and data security best practices.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of IT experience
- 2 years experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper).
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools and processes,
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking credentials.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- Must possess an active Secret clearance

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
