Summary

The Operational Risk Management Lead will support the Head of Operational Risk in delivering a resilient and forward-looking change risk management capability for the organisation. This role has day-to-day ownership of Change Governance and Change Risk Management. You will ensure risks associated with business change, transformation initiatives, technology programs, and market expansions are properly identified, assessed, and controlled before implementation.

The role also contributes to policy and framework ownership, risk reporting, and the application of AI and advanced analytics to improve oversight, predictive insight, and efficiency in managing change-related risks.


Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Change Risk Management Framework (CRMF) in line with the Head of Operational Risk’s strategic direction.

  • Conduct risk assessments for material change initiatives, including new product launches, technology upgrades, market entries, and process redesigns.

  • Partner with teams throughout the organisation to identify risks early and embed robust controls.

  • Monitor and track risk mitigation actions for high-impact change programs.

  • Establish and maintain governance processes for risk oversight of major transformation initiatives.

  • Ensure change programs align with regulatory expectations, internal standards, and operational risk appetite.

  • Serve as the risk representative on change steering committees and working groups, challenging risk decisions and assumptions where appropriate.

  • Prepare change risk dashboards and reporting for senior management and governance committees.

  • Track and monitor trends across transformation programs to highlight emerging risks and recurring themes.
