About the role
As a Software Engineer reporting to Senior Director, you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering software solutions that power Nasdaq's technology platforms and client-facing systems.

What you will do
Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend services, primarily in Java
Work closely with senior engineers, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions
Participate in the full development lifecycle—from understanding requirements to implementation, testing, and deployment
Support integration and platform-related initiatives across multiple systems
Take part in code reviews and technical discussions to continuously improve ways of working
Help troubleshoot and resolve issues in development and test environments
Contribute to deployment and runtime activities in cloud-based environments (e.g., containerized services, Kubernetes)
What we’re looking for
2–4 years of experience in software development (or equivalent practical experience)
Solid foundation in Java or similar object-oriented programming languages
Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment
Excellent working proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international team
A curious mindset and willingness to learn and grow
Nice to have
Experience with Python, SQL, or other relevant programming languages and tools.
Familiarity with capital markets, fintech, or other regulated technology environments.
Exposure to global or multicultural teams in a technology setting.
This position will be located in Vilnius and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay for this role is EUR 3000–EUR 3500. The actual pay depends on factors like your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, we offer short-term incentives (bonus or commission) and long-term incentives (equity), where applicable.
We utilize a structured job architecture and career framework to ensure growth opportunities are transparent, fair, and accessible to all employees. The pay range you see reflects the full salary band for this job level, including room for progression over time.
