About the role
The Red Hat Tech Sales team is seeking a RHEL Sales Specialist to join us in Mexico City - Mexico.
In this role, you will be responsible for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) software subscription sales offerings and services to prospective and current accounts across the Mexican market.
You'll need to have the ability to understand customer needs and business challenges and connect them to a comprehensive set of Red Hat Enterprise Linux solutions, including infrastructure modernization, standardization, operational efficiency, security, and hybrid cloud adoption.
Your tasks will include creating sales opportunities in new and existing customer accounts through well-planned demand-generation efforts with the account teams, with strong focus on strategic industries in Mexico such as Public Sector, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Energy, Telecommunications, Retail and others.
What you will do:
Owns the development of new strategic sales opportunities for Red Hat Enterprise Linux across the Mexican market.
Leads critical customer presentations/sessions around business problems, Red Hat Enterprise Linux solutions, business value, competitive positioning, product capabilities, lifecycle management, and roadmap strategy, among others.
Maintains relevant and detailed technical and business knowledge about RHEL offerings (standard, premium, SAP, Extended Update Support, Image Builder, Satellite, Insights, security and compliance capabilities, etc.) and general knowledge of the Red Hat portfolio.
Maintains knowledge and enables account teams on current "Plays" in your domain (datacenter modernization, UNIX-to-Linux migrations, virtualization alternatives, SAP environments, edge use cases, cloud standardization, Red Hat Sales Plays, etc.).
Advises on and speaks to forecasts for appropriate products, services, and training.
Guides strategy based on deep knowledge of industry priorities and customer transformation initiatives in Mexico.
Positions right-sized solutions (subscriptions, services, partners) in the context of addressing the customer’s operational, security, compliance, and modernization challenges.
Drives growth beyond initial sales and deployment to scale and expand into adjacent opportunities across the Red Hat portfolio.
Aligns with Customer Success on the delivery of the proposed business value and long-term platform adoption.

Strongly desired experience in Mexican vertical industries.
Strong technology foundation with the ability to translate technical capabilities into measurable business value.

Entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to run your own business within the role.
Highly effective orchestrator and collaborator, able to lead a cross-functional team (internal and partner ecosystem) through a complex sales cycle.
Compelling presenter of business and technical topics, capable of delivering value-based conversations and demos for your domain.
C-Suite presence: charismatic, outgoing, and able to “own the room” while building trust and executive relationships.
Relevant experience in one or more of the following: territory, vertical, account selling.
Experience with Hyperscalers and expertise in cloud consumption models, especially how RHEL is positioned across hybrid and multicloud environments.
Ability to own workload conversations around key RHEL sales plays and use cases such as datacenter modernization, SAP migrations, virtualization alternatives, cloud migration, compliance, and operational standardization.
Desirable foundation in Agile Development, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Infrastructure Transformation, with the ability to lead modernization conversations.
Strong understanding of Virtualization, Containers, Kubernetes, and how RHEL serves as the enterprise foundation for these environments.
Understanding of the value and ideally hands-on experience with infrastructure platforms.
English language skills.
