Are you our next Transportation Manager?

Create, manage, and direct strategic commercial rail freight and logistics related initiatives that enable market growth opportunities and promote customer retention and growth for Mosaic’s Sales Organization. Manage and direct rail-related freight and logistics contracts to enhance efficiency throughout Operations and Supply Chain. Serve as principal liaison between Account Managers, Customers, and Class 1 Rail Representatives..

What will you do?

  • Lead and manage strategic, rail‑related commercial initiatives while developing market growth opportunities in partnership with railroad representatives, Account Managers and customers. Analyze fertilizer trade lanes to identify and communicate market opportunities and risks related to pricing competitiveness of Class I railroads.

  • Manage and negotiate private rail freight contract renewals, and public rail tariffs with class 1 railroads representing more than $500M in annual rail freight spend.

  • Manage a Rates/Routes Team on comparative analysis, data input and integrity. Validate data accuracy through SOX controls.

  • Manage rail-related projects and enhance rail, logistical, and operational efficiencies including contract compliance.

  •  Manage SAP/IT enhancements related to rail freight, and optimization projects.

  • Direct AP on rail prioritization and assist on issue resolutions for accounts to remain current and properly reconciled.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Rail Transportation.
     

What do you need for this role?

  • BA or MBA degree preferred, major in Transportation, Supply Chain, or Business. In lieu of degree, possesses 10 years logistics experience with class 1 railroads.

  • 5+ years of Transportation experience

  • Supply Chain experience 

  • Supervising experience 

  • Contract Negotiations experience
