In Derivatives Processing, you will focus primarily on Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETDs).Your responsibilities will include processing derivative trades and lifecycle events, reconciling transactions and positions with our clearing brokers or exchange, and maintaining the post-trade clearing platform.
Job rotation within the team ensures variety and flexibility in daily operations. In your role, you’ll apply your expertise in trade processing and reconciliation, working closely with the team and management to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to ongoing optimisations.
Additionally, when required, you may support colleagues in the processing of Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Execution of settlement processes for exchange-traded derivatives (options and futures)
Processing and settlement of assignment and exercise events
Administration of corporate action events across asset classes
Coordination and booking of position transfers (incoming and outgoing)
Maintenance of settlement instructions and commission tables
Daily position and cash reconciliation, ensuring accurate trade, position, and financial reporting
Handling of trade cancellations, corrections, and related adjustments
End-of-day processing activities, including batch runs and system checks
Responding to operational queries and ad-hoc requests from key stakeholders, including Trading Desks, Relationship Managers, and other Operations teams
Providing business support during testing, rollout, and implementation of new products, system releases, and strategic projects
YOUR PROFILE
Strong expertise in Exchange-Traded Derivative products is essential; knowledge of over-the-counter derivatives is a plus
Solid risk management skills, with the ability to monitor risk positions and implement mitigation strategies
Foundational understanding of regulatory requirements, such as FinfraG and EMIR
Strong affinity for process analysis and continuous improvement
A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Banking apprenticeship or similar education in the finance industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Fluent in both German and English (each at C1 level)
System know-how in derivative tools is an advantage
