Job Description

The Head – VCA is responsible for leading, growing, and managing the Valve Controls and Actuators business in India. This role will drive strategic growth, manage key customer relationships, develop EPC and OEM business, and strengthen market presence through effective sales leadership, product promotion, and market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and expand the VCA business footprint across the India market.

  • Own end‑to‑end sales funnel management, including key account management and business development activities within the assigned market area.

  • Drive technical and commercial approvals with EPCs and proactively engage with End Users (EUs) for large and strategic projects involving VCA products.

  • Develop, execute, and monitor action plans aligned with strategic priorities and sales objectives.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and establish performance targets to support business planning.

  • Strengthen engagement with key OEMs while expanding the OEM base by onboarding new partners.

  • Maintain a strong customer‑centric approach by understanding customer needs and building long‑term relationships.

  • Analyze competitive activities in the region and define strategies to increase market share.

  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations; actively participate in customer events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote the product and service portfolio.

  • Lead the launch of new VCA products in India and track their market adoption and performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Instrumentation).

  • 20–25 years of proven sales experience in positioners, actuators, or similar automation products; experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing OEM business.

  • Strong market and customer exposure within the Oil & Gas sector.

  • Mandatory experience working with large EPCs and OEMs in the Oil & Gas industry, including thorough knowledge of relevant technical specifications.

  • Proven capability in handling major accounts and corporate customers, with solid account management expertise.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, Business Intelligence (BI) reporting, and experienced in using CRM systems.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across India, with the ability to spend up to 50% of time traveling to support business and customer needs.
