Job Description

Help us get ahead of disease together with our Quality Control (Microbiology & Services), Internship, 2026:   
 

Education required:Current student enrolled in Diploma from an accredited local polytechnic, preferably in Pharmaceutical Sciences /Applied Science/Chemical Engineering discipline  

Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG Polytechnic for the duration of your internship and doing a credit-bearing internship 

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English 

Internship period: September 2026 to January/February 2027

What will you do?  

  • Management of documents (e.g. Proper archival of documents, summarize and tabulate documents in specific logs) 

  • Understand WoWs in Quality Control (QC) 

  • Data tubulation 

  • Perform QC operations such as logistics, reagent preparation, sampling on production floor, and testing in laboratory 

  • Performs 6S and good housekeeping of work area 

  • Ensures good inventory of QC materials 

  • Area continuous improvement 

  • Adhere to all safety and security policies and practices 

What will you learn? 

  • Acquire Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) knowledges 

  • Gain knowledge in GMP and Safety audit preparation 

  • Requirement around document archival 

  • Material flow from receipt, testing to disposal 

  • Usage of laboratory systems such as SAP and Laboratory Execution System (LES) 

  • Understand how data generated in quality control is used in GMP environment 

  • Various laboratory techniques 

  • Gain exposure with possibility to participate/support ad-hoc site and QC activities

  • An individual who is interested in learning more about a manufacturing environment and vaccines 

  • A lively interest in quality control, the commercial world and the biopharma industry 

  • Appetite to work as team in quality control, building strong relationships with key stakeholders 

  • Meticulous, organized, logical and self-motivated 

  • Adaptability to change and working under pressure 

  • Excellent communication skills that help you influence 

  • Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity 

  • Drive and confidence to trust your own judgment 

  • Good ability to prioritize tasks assigned 

  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office
