Purpose of the role

To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients in collaboration with multiple financial institutions, including financial advisory services, identification of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.  

Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate and institutional clients to understand their financing needs and objectives and to develop fixed income syndicated capital market offerings.  .
  • Development and maintenance of complex financial models to assess the value of assets, companies, or securities and identify the most appropriate structuring of capital raising initiatives, including loan, bond or derivatives syndications.  .
  • Identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with syndicated fixed income capital markets transactions and development of risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements, including the increase in complexity and potential conflicts of interest.  .
  • Research, financial data analysis and continued development of market insights and investment recommendations.  .
  • Collaboration with cross functional and cross institution teams to ensure successful execution of syndicated fixed income capital market transactions.  .

Barclays is hiring a Leveraged Finance Capital Markets, Vice President. The LFCM desk is functionally part of Fixed Income Syndicate within Investment Banking, and your role will be based in New York. You will be a dedicated resource for the LFCM desk, working to support the origination and ultimate distribution of Leveraged Finance transactions, including conducting market soundings/pre-marketing, collaborating on discussions with investors, running pricing calls and other transaction execution requirements, and driving the order book building/allocation process.

To be successful as a Leveraged Finance Capital Markets, Vice President, you should have experience with:

  • Leveraged Finance origination or playing a syndication role within Leveraged Finance Capital Markets

  • Originating, structuring, and syndicating Leveraged Finance transactions

  • Leveraged finance structuring and covenants and confirmed skills in credit

  • Understanding of and confirmed skills in credit

  • Ability to effectively position and structure deals at the point of sale to meet client and risk

  • Market awareness and sound risk judgment informed by credit metrics and market conditions

Minimum Salary: $250,000

Maximum Salary: $275,000
