Description:

Patient Care Director - RN – Ambulatory (Infusion, Radiation Oncology, Cardiac Cath, & Interventional Radiology)
 

As a Patient Care Director, you will lead a highly skilled, autonomous team of Oncology, Cath Lab, Radiology nurses, including infusion, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, cardiac cath improving patient outcomes through innovative technologies and best practices. This hospital-wide service plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care across NewYork-Presbyterian.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline leadership and 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery
  • Oversee fiscal performance, resource allocation, staffing, scheduling, and staff evaluation
  • Set unit goals aligned with NYPH strategic initiatives
  • Plan, organize, direct, and monitor unit operations to ensure high-quality, high patient experience, cost-effective care
  • Evaluate staff performance, unit outcomes, and system effectiveness
  • Ensure unit compliance with all applicable federal, state, and regulatory requirements; maintaining adherence to healthcare laws, accreditation standards, and organization policies
  • Foster a professional, inclusive environment where staff and patients can achieve their fullest potential

This is a Full time Monday through Friday with hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567

 

Preferred Criteria

  • Five years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in leading unit development
  • Experience with union environments
  • Certification as a Nurse Executive
  • At least three years of procedural area, Oncology, or Critical Care Experience

 

Required Criteria

  • Progressive Leadership experience in Nursing
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current New York State RN license
  • BCLS certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
