The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Buyer Planner, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Effectively planning manufactured products to achieve service targets, whilst contributing to efficient running of production minimising scheduling inefficiency and resource utilisation
Manage material flow and investment, supply risks, and total cost of ownership (including expedite and premium costs)
Manage new product introductions in relation to governance meetings, tasks for completion and appropriate stakeholder communication of changes and impact
Leads continuous process improvement to reduce cost, optimise inventory and improve service
Collaboration and alignment with internal departments including procurement, finance, warehouse, operations, quality, and global supply chain
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 5 years of relevant work experience in inventory management, supply chain planning or procurement
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
Strong analytical skills with experience in visual display, reporting to senior leadership and influencing senior stakeholders to desired outcome
Experience working with ERP, MRP II, MRP, SCP, APS, or DRP systems. Particularly experience Using Oracle, ASCP, or SAP
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)
Proven experience implementing changes to business processes and systems of work
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Master’s degree in supply chain management or operations management from an accredited institution
APICS CPIM or relevant professional planning association certification
10 years of relevant work experience in operations, logistics or demand planning in a private, public, government, or military environment
Excellent understanding of production planning, inventory management, information, and material flow throughout the supply chain end to end
Strong verbal and written communication capabilities
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with internal customers, internal/external suppliers, and fellow team members at all levels
Familiarity with healthcare supply chain auditing processes and SOX frameworks
Work location: Athlone, Ireland - Hybrid
Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Athlone (Ireland) at least 3 days per week)
Travel: May include up to 10% [domestic/international]
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
