Job Description
The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.
Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.
The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.
The Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. How? With a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers –– and sets a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency. We are proud of the culture we have built. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.
So, if you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, then we want to talk!
As The Trade Desk continues to evolve its platform and ecosystem strategy, partnerships have become a key vector for growth and differentiation. Today, partnerships span retail media networks, commerce platforms, and emerging technology collaborators. However, the company seeks to accelerate and formalize this function — moving from tactical deal execution to a strategic, growth-oriented model that aligns globally and drives meaningful business outcomes.
This SVP, Strategic Partnerships role is a rare opportunity to:
- Shape a new growth engine at one of the most innovative companies in AdTech.
- Operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, building a new global function with direct impact on TTD’s revenue trajectory.
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with top leadership, including the CRO and CEO, to drive transformative outcomes in months—not years.
THE ROLE
The Trade Desk (TTD) is defining a new senior executive role to lead its global Strategic and Channel Partnerships function — a transformative growth pillar supporting the company’s next chapter of expansion across commerce, retail media, and emerging technology ecosystems. Reporting directly to the CRO, this Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships will architect and scale a modern partnership strategy that deepens value creation across TTD’s global go-to-market engine.
This role will attract a senior commercial leader who thrives in high-growth, high-impact environments — someone energized by ambiguity, transformation, and building what doesn’t yet exist.
The SVP, Strategic Partnerships will oversee the vision, strategy, and execution of The Trade Desk’s non-data partnership ecosystem. This includes ownership of strategic and channel partners globally, with a mandate to grow and operationalize partnerships post-deal — ensuring sustained value, integration, and impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and Lead Partnership Strategy: Develop a comprehensive roadmap for global strategic and channel partnerships, aligned with corporate and go-to-market objectives.
- Expand Global Footprint: Drive international partnership expansion across North America, EMEA, APAC, China, and India, particularly within retail and commerce ecosystems.
- Manage and Grow Partnerships: Oversee ongoing partnership management post-deal, ensuring operational success, mutual growth, and cross-functional alignment.
- Innovate and Build: Identify and prioritize new partnership opportunities that unlock incremental revenue and strategic advantage (e.g., Shopify, OpenAI).
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product and Data Partnerships teams to ensure clear boundaries, seamless handoffs, and complementary strategies.
- Lead with Commercial Agility: Operate with a builder’s mindset — able to scale programs, create structure from ambiguity, and accelerate results.
