Job Description

About us

  • At Sierra, we’re creating a platform to help businesses build better, more human customer experiences with AI. We are primarily an in-person company based in San Francisco, with growing offices in Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Singapore, Japan, and Sydney.

  • We are guided by a set of values that are at the core of our actions and define our culture: Trust, Customer Obsession, Craftsmanship, Intensity, and Family. These values are the foundation of our work, and we are committed to upholding them in everything we do.

  • Our co-founders are Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor. Bret currently serves as Board Chair of OpenAI. Previously, he was co-CEO of Salesforce (which had acquired the company he founded, Quip) and CTO of Facebook. Bret was also one of Google's earliest product managers and co-creator of Google Maps. Before founding Sierra, Clay spent 18 years at Google, where he most recently led Google Labs. Earlier, he started and led Google’s AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

What you'll do

  • Build and optimize scalable recruiting processes and workflows that drive efficiency, consistency, and a world-class candidate and hiring manager experience.

  • Develop dashboards and reports to give real-time visibility into pipeline health, team performance, diversity progress, and hiring outcomes—enabling data-driven decisions across the talent team.

  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring teams to identify operational bottlenecks, implement process improvements, and champion best practices across the full recruiting lifecycle.

  • Own the configuration, management, and ongoing optimization of recruiting tools, including our ATS (Ashby) and other automation or AI-based solutions used for sourcing, scheduling, and candidate engagement.

  • Lead enablement efforts across the recruiting team by building documentation, training materials, and resources that promote adoption of tools, process changes, and reporting standards.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with People, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure recruiting operations are aligned with broader systems and business planning.

  • Stay on top of trends in recruiting technology, AI applications, and analytics to continuously level up our operational capabilities.

What you'll bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in recruiting operations, talent analytics, or related roles, ideally within high-growth tech environments.

  • Deep expertise in building and scaling recruiting processes, reporting frameworks, and tooling infrastructure.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Sheets, data visualization tools, and building dashboards that influence decision-making.

  • Hands-on experience managing and customizing an ATS (experience with Ashby is a plus).

  • A passion for process improvement and operational excellence—you thrive on turning complexity into clarity.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of partnering closely with recruiting teams, hiring managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and adapting quickly to changing priorities.

Even better...

  • Familiarity with tools that leverage AI to support sourcing, scheduling, and recruiting workflows.

  • Experience supporting diversity hiring initiatives through data, process design, or reporting.

  • Background in enablement or instructional design to support training and documentation efforts for recruiting teams.
