Job Description

STUDENT ASSISTANT

The Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost is seeking a student worker to serve as Student Assistant for summer 2026.

The specific weekly schedule will be developed based on the office’s administrative needs and the student’s academic commitments. Wednesday afternoon availability from 2-5pm is required.

The Student Assistant will be responsible for monitoring the front desk including greeting guests, managing guest parking, and supporting meetings in the conference room. In addition, this position may support various office projects with data collection and management, web-based research, communications, or event planning.

There may be some time for independent study, but assistance with projects will be prioritized.

The position is for approximately 10 hours a week, in person, within the hours of M-F, 8 AM to 5 PM in Booker House on Central Grounds.

No prior work experience is required. All necessary training will be provided.

This position would be ideal experience for a student with demonstrated interest in governance, public policy, data management, and/or higher education administration.

The pay range is $17-$20 an hour.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
