Project Hydro Testers

This position is accountable for the hydrostatic testing of all pressure piping, pressure relief system piping and turbo-machinery manifolds as required by jobs. Responsibilities include the test of all pressure vessels, exchangers with control columns, thermo-welds, level gauges and instrument process connection valves

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Comply with all of TurboFab’s Environmental, Health and Safety Programs, Regulations and

Guidelines.

Check own work for compliance to specifications.

Use all necessary equipment and tools required to perform work.

Ensure that procedures have been followed and quality has not been compromised.

Must keep all areas clean and orderly; and comply with TurboFab’s housekeeping procedures.

Interface with outside inspectors.

Assist in the training of other less experienced Hydro Testers, as required.

Must follow the Hydrostatic testing procedures.

Must ensure complete and correct set up of the system to be tested.

Must produce and verify accuracy of test charts and other documentation.

Required Qualifications:

This position is for a fully competent and qualified employee with one to five years of experience in the area of Hydro testing and requires minimal supervision to perform the job.

Must exhibit the skills and willingness to perform assigned tasks in a fully competent manner.

Must be able to read and understand test documents.

Must possess working knowledge of dead weight readers, chart recorders, and reading flow charts,

pipe & ISO drawings.

Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to work well with others.

Must have basic knowledge of computer use.

Must be knowledgeable in the use of torque tools and must have the ability to read and understand the

torque value chart.

Must have full understanding and knowledge of the stored energy used during a Hydro Test.

Emphasizing the need for safety of the test crew and personnel in the area.

**Candidates may be placed on any shift, dependent on business needs**

Summary Pay Range:

$22.74 - $34.11

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.

There will be night shift premium qualifying for another $3 per hour for 2nd shift.
