We are seeking a Finance Transformation Intern to support the planning and implementation of projects aimed at optimizing financial processes, improving information quality, and strengthening internal controls. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills while collaborating with dynamic teams in a constantly evolving environment.
Responsibilities
Support the documentation, updating, and optimization of key processes, including operational, financial, and organizational processes.
Identify risks, inefficiencies, trends, or anomalies in specific cycles and tasks, and contribute to implementing appropriate controls to mitigate them.
Contribute to the documentation and improvement of financial close, consolidation, data management, and internal control processes.
Participate in the implementation or enhancement of financial tools, such as automation, dashboards, or data management solutions.
Support the team in creating and updating accounting policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation of internal financial reports and in the planning and improvement of the monthly close cycle.
The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Intention to pursue a CPA designation is a plus.
Good understanding of accounting principles and the structure of financial statements.
Proficient in Excel, including data manipulation.
Curious and motivated to learn, with an analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Team player with a proactive attitude.
