Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading advance quality planning for automotive new product development and launches, ensuring compliance with  OEM customer quality requirements. The role involves crossfunctional coordination, ownership of core quality deliverables and driving defect prevention.

Detail Job Description:

Ford Customer Quality & Supplier Quality Professional (Remote Support)

  • Strong expertise in Ford Customer Specific Requirements, IATF 16949, APQP, and PPAP compliance.
  • Manage Ford PPAP submissions and approvals including VPP, ePSW, SREA, PCN/MCN, liaison reports, engineering changes, cost kit PPAPs, etc.
  • Drive risk identification, defect prevention, and early issue resolution using 8D, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 7 QC Tools
  • Proficient in PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, Layout Inspection, and CTQ / special process (CQI) requirements
  • Lead Supplier Quality Management and New Supplier Development, including supplier onboarding, APQP documentation, audits, corrective actions, and performance tracking
  • Act as key interface coordinating between suppliers, Magna counterparts, plants and Ford customer teams.
  • Support plants in achieving on time Ford PPAP approvals and addressing customer feedback and concerns.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
  • Participate in drawing reviews, engineering change management and cross functional project reviews.
  • Conduct regular quality performance reviews with Ford customer.
  • Proficient in Ford customer portals, SAP, PLM+, Run at Rate requests, supplier tracking databases and purchase order coordination.
  • Provide multi plant and remote quality support, open to supplier site visits and audits.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills, clear communication, cross functional collaboration and teamwork.
  • Committed to maintaining a positive, compliant, and performance driven work environment.

Qualification, Experience & Skills and Competencies:

(Min & Max, industry) : 08 - 10 Year experience

Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering
