About this position:

The Associate Director of Client Strategy will play a pivotal role in crafting outcome-driven strategies and industry best practices for our customers and prospective customers seeking to use Later, enabling the company to unlock revenue impact from those accounts. This individual will collaborate closely with the strategy, sales, account management, services, marketing, and product teams to maximize the outcomes accounts can achieve with their strategy. The primary measure of success for the role will be direct and indirect revenue impact driven by accounts that receive strategy support.

What you'll be doing:

  • Influencer Strategy Creation: Craft outcome-driven strategies for existing and prospective accounts seeking to maximize their ROI when using Later for influencer marketing and social media marketing
  • New Business Proposal Support: Collaborate with Sales to create compelling new business proposals that include thoughtful research, insights, creative campaign concepts, curated creator examples, and outcome expectations
  • Strategic Business Review Support: Collaborate with Account Management and services to prepare Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) for Accounts paying Later $50,000 or more per year
  • Industry Best Practices: Build and maintain best practices for doing influencer marketing and social media marketing for a variety of dimensions, including but not limited to industry vertical, social platform type, and marketing objective
  • Industry Benchmarks: Build and maintain industry performance benchmarks (e.g. CPE, CPM, Engagement Rate, etc) by industry vertical and social platform type, and use when crafting strategies, proposals and SBRs
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with internal teams, including the strategy, sales, account management, services, marketing, and product teams, to ensure alignment on account strategies, best practices, and benchmarks.
  • Continuous Learning and Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance skills and expertise continuously.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Expert-level working knowledge of the Influencer Marketing and Social Media Marketing landscape with 5+ years of experience required.
  • Passion for the creator economy and connecting marketers and creators
  • Proven track record of success in influencer strategy creation and delivery for enterprise-grade B2C consumer brands.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and collaboration software (GSuite, Slack, Zoom) is required.
  • Proficiency in Influencer Marketing, Social Media Management, and Affiliate Marketing software is required.
  • Proficiency in paid social advertising is a plus.

Our approach to compensation:

We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.

Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.

To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted.

Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.

Salary Range:

$145,000 - 160,000 USD OTE

We have offices in Boston, MA; Vancouver, BC; Chicago, IL; and Vancouver, WA. For select positions, we are open to hiring fully remote candidates. We post our positions in the location(s) where we are open to having the successful candidate be located.
