Job Description

Garner’s mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high-quality and affordable care for all.

We are fundamentally reimagining how healthcare works in the U.S. by partnering with employers to redesign healthcare benefits using clear incentives and powerful, data-driven insights. Our approach guides employees to higher-quality, lower-cost care, creating a system that works better for everyone. Patients achieve better health outcomes, employers spend healthcare dollars more effectively, and physicians are rewarded for delivering exceptional care rather than performing more procedures.

Garner is one of the fastest-growing healthcare technology companies in the country. Our products are trusted by the most sophisticated employers and providers in the industry, and we are building a team of talented, mission-driven individuals who are motivated to make a meaningful impact on healthcare at scale.

We are seeking an exceptional Deputy Chief Of Staff to join the Office Of The CEO. This role will report to the Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO. This talented and motivated self-starter will be responsible for executing a diverse array of strategic initiatives across the business, with a focus on areas of high priority for Garner’s leadership team. You’ll be responsible for deploying management best practices and have the chance to learn what it takes to operate in a high-performance and high-impact environment.

Where you will work:

  • This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What you will do:

  • Manage Garner’s operating rhythm, including annual and quarterly planning, KPI reporting, executive team meetings, and follow-through on company priorities
  • Lead high-priority strategic projects across the business in close partnership with Garner’s CEO, Chief of Staff, and leadership team
  • Build and improve operational processes that make the company more effective, in partnership with leaders and subject matter experts across Garner
  • Serve as a force multiplier for the CEO and Chief of Staff, helping drive clarity, alignment, and follow-through on the company’s highest-priority work

The ideal candidate has:

  • 3+ years of experience in a strategic problem-solving role; prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or an early-stage startup environment
  • A strong ability to break down unstructured problems into their component parts, recommend solutions, and work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement them
  • A combination of a high ownership mentality and detail orientation that has resulted in a track record of delivering operational initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize insights from complex data
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • Interest and/or experience working in healthcare, with a mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
  • A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing company in a transformative role, helping shape the future of healthcare.
