Job Responsibilities:
The Buyer is responsible for managing purchasing activities for production materials and components. This role supports sourcing strategy, supplier management, negotiations, contract administration, and cross-functional coordination to ensure optimal cost, quality, delivery, and risk mitigation while supporting overall Supply Chain Management objectives.
· Manage the end-to-end purchasing process including RFQs, negotiations, contracts, and purchase orders
· Conduct global and local sourcing activities and procurement market analyses
· Develop, evaluate, and manage supplier portfolios including risk assessments
· Coordinate purchasing activities with engineering, production, and other internal stakeholders
· Prepare cost analyses, offer comparisons, and sourcing recommendations
· Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve cost and performance targets
· Create and manage contracts and purchase orders in SAP
· Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance
· Support cost reduction initiatives and process improvement activities
· Represent purchasing interests in interdisciplinary project teams
· Organize supplier meetings, workshops, and performance reviews
· Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and contractual obligations

· Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed
· Adhere to established quality and housekeeping standards
· Immediately report hazards, defects, or non-compliance issues
· Take appropriate corrective action when substandard performance is observed
Key Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
· Automotive industry experience preferred
· Experience with supplier negotiations and contract management
· SAP purchasing experience preferred
· Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
· Office-based role with regular computer use. Occasional interaction with suppliers and operational teams. Limited travel may be required.
