About the role
Job Purpose
You will own the strategic sourcing, cost management, and supplier relationships for PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services). Your goal is to secure high-performing electronics partners, drive cost savings, and ensure zero production disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy: Build and execute sourcing plans for PCBA and electronics contract manufacturing to achieve the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Supplier Management: Lead business reviews (QBRs) with EMS partners. Track and improve supplier metrics for Quality, Cost, and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
Cost & Negotiation: Negotiate annual pricing, manufacturing fees (VA), and component Bill of Materials (BOM) costs. Identify savings through benchmarking.
NPI Support: Work with R&D and Engineering to source components early in the design phase, avoiding End-of-Life (EOL) or obsolete parts.
Risk & Supply Continuity: Develop dual-sourcing strategies and buffer stock plans to protect production against electronic component shortages or market allocations.
Contracts: Draft and negotiate Manufacturing Services Agreements (MSAs) and Long-Term Agreements (LTAs).
Key Qualifications:
Experience: 5 years in strategic procurement, with at least 3 years directly managing PCBA and EMS categories in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of electronics manufacturing (SMT, turnkey vs. consignment models) and advanced BOM analysis.
Systems: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
Skills: Proven negotiation track record, strong financial acumen, and the ability to influence cross-functional engineering teams.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
