Position Summary:
The Global Ninja Test Kitchen is looking for a Demo Chef to join our vibrant group of global chefs and food scientists. Our team takes a unique approach to product development, blending culinary arts and the science of food. The Global Ninja Test Kitchen is highly collaborative, and team members are expected to contribute feedback and problem-solving ideas across all projects.
This role is expected to have a strong knowledge of the industry, to be familiar with the latest food trends, and to foster a curiosity for product development. This role will be responsible for developing engaging product demos from the ground up, turning complex product features into compelling, food-first narratives that drive engagement, education, and conversion.
As part of a highly collaborative team, you'll contribute your creativity and expertise to the development of innovative demo strategies that support the launch and lifecycle of Ninja products. This includes concepting, building, and evolving demo content for multiple platforms and audiences — from retailers and social media to internal stakeholders and press events.
If you're passionate about culinary innovation and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team.
This position will be based at Shark Ninja HQ in Needham, MA (with about 25% travel).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Own the end-to-end development of product demos — from concepting the food-first story, to testing, filming, and execution — ensuring alignment with cross functional team members
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and creative teams to craft impactful demo narratives that support product positioning and GTM strategies.
- Develop a scalable library of demo concepts and recipes tailored to different audiences (retail, digital, PR, social, training).
- Partner with sales, social, brand, and PR to execute product demos that support key launches, sell-in conversations, and competitive differentiation to drive Ninja’s business
- Serve as the primary point of contact to coordinate, develop and manage product demonstrations for key retailers, public relations events, etc.
- Lead the filming and editing of demo content for internal inspirational videos, maintaining high standards of product storytelling
- Serve as culinary subject matter expert “on the ground” across all functional activities
- Monitor competitive social/digital marketing campaigns to impact demo development approach
- Conduct competitor product testing to identify key differences in product specifications to support sales conversations, opportunities and innovation priorities
- Regularly share product feedback with global teams to ensure real-time inputs are provided at every stage of product development from P-builds to MP
- Update weekly priorities and keep track of projects
- Ability to perform autonomously managing multiple tasks within established deadlines
- Assist, attend and present at internal and external events, as needed
- Monitor and research industry trends and innovations on an ongoing basis and brings new ideas to the team
- Assist in the shipping of products when needed
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Other job duties as assigned
Attributes and Skills:
- 2+ years of culinary, content development experience or a related field, preferably at a consumer goods company
- Degree from an accredited Culinary Arts program, or Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Marketing or Communications; or combination of education and experience
- Ability to effectively “manage up” by communicating your top priorities and constantly seeking feedback on your and your team’s work product
- Exceptional culinary skills with a demonstrated passion for culinary innovation and creativity
