Position Description:

This Business Unit Administrator is responsible for supporting the administrative, financial, and faculty affairs activities within the Department of Family & Geriatric Medicine (DFGM). Under the direction of the Department Chair and Director, the incumbent will provide comprehensive administrative and financial support to designated University of Louisville (UL) programs, including the Rural Residency Programs in Louisville, Owensboro, and Glasgow, on all general business and operational matters.

The position will support departmental initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Responsibilities include oversight and coordination of financial and business activities such as accounting, budgeting, purchasing, travel administration, Continuing Medical Education (CME) processing, and financial reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor & manage department program budgets, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and funding allocations

  • Prepare budget-to-actual variance reports and forecast updates to the Director for timely decision making and School of Medicine reporting.

  • Manage/Analyze ProCard expenses, payroll, travel, invoices, effort reporting, funding allocations and grant expenditures.

  • Ability to work under the general direction of the Department Chair and Director, effectively managing multiple assignments and adapting to fluctuating priorities.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$89,483.00

Target Compensation Minimum:

$59,655.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
