Regulatory Chemical Safety Consultant

ERM is looking for a Regulatory Chemical Safety Consultant to join our Product Stewardship team in France. This is a great opportunity for a consultant with 3–5 years of experience in EU REACH and chemical safety who is keen to grow their consulting and project delivery skills within a global sustainability leader.

In this role, you’ll support clients across a range of sectors by helping them navigate EU and global chemical regulations, while working as part of ERM’s international Product Stewardship network.

What you’ll do

Support EU REACH regulatory programmes, including IUCLID dossier preparation, data‑sharing activities, and Only Representative services
Perform and review CLP classification and labelling
Prepare and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for EU and global markets
Work with SDS authoring tools (e.g. Lisam ExESS)
Prepare Poison Centre Notifications (PCN) and advise on Annex VIII requirements
Support clients with product compliance across the lifecycle, including restricted substances, sector‑specific legislation, and country‑specific requirements (e.g. France)
Collaborate with international project teams and support regulatory project delivery

What you bring

3–5 years’ experience in chemical regulatory affairs, product stewardship, consultancy or industry
Strong working knowledge of REACH, CLP/GHS, SDS and IUCLID
Experience with classification & labelling and hazard communication
Fluency in French and English
A collaborative mindset and motivation to grow in a consulting environment
