The Senior Software Engineer, SAP Finance AP, AR and Banking   At Bristol Myers Squibb, digital innovation and IT are central to transforming patients’ lives through science. The organisation leverages AI, data science, and automation to enhance global finance operations.

Finance systems are continuously evolving to support faster, accurate, and compliant decision-making. The SAP FI AP/AR Consultant plays a key role in delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions. The role focuses on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, and integrated finance processes. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimising scalable SAP finance solutions. 

The role ensures seamless integration across O2C, P2P, Supply Chain, and external systems. Strong expertise in global finance operations within SOX and GxP regulated environments is required. In-depth knowledge of invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution is essential.

The role includes managing cash applications reconciliation, and financial controls.

Collaboration with Business, IT, and external stakeholders is critical for standardization and compliance.AI-enabled capabilities such as invoice automation, predictive analytics, and anomaly detection are leveraged. Gen-AI tools are used for documentation, testing, and improving operational efficiency.

The role supports full SDLC activities from requirements through post-go-live support. Continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of emerging technologies are key expectations.

Experience delivering full lifecycle projects for 5-7 years in S/4 HANA in the areas of Finance including integration with other areas such as Sales & Distribution, Materials Management, Manufacturing & Controlling. Had experience working in a Global Environment who understands Global Process, Template Roll-out, SAP instances, Stakeholder Management, Cross-Functional.

What You'll Be Doing

💡 Delivering Smart Finance Solutions

Design and implement world-class SAP S/4HANA solutions across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Banking, including the DME Engine

Own full end-to-end SDLC delivery — from design and build through testing, deployment, and ongoing support

🔗 Connecting the Dots

Drive seamless integration across O2C, P2P, Supply Chain, and external systems

Bridge SAP FI with GL, Controlling, MM, and SD to enable truly end-to-end business processes

💳 Powering Invoice-to-Pay & Cash Management

Manage the complete invoice lifecycle — processing, validation, payment execution, and vendor reconciliation

Oversee AR processes including billing integration, cash application, dispute resolution, and reconciliations

🏦 Banking & Treasury

Lead efficient payment processing and bank integrations, ensuring compliance with treasury and financial regulations

☁️ Driving Cloud & AI Transformation

Play a key role in our SAP RISE journey — cloud migration, S/4HANA modernization, and adoption of standardized, scalable, AI-enabled finance processes

Leverage AI and intelligent automation for invoice processing, predictive cash application, and anomaly detection

Use GenAI tools to accelerate documentation, test automation, and root cause analysis

Ensure strong financial controls and audit readiness in line with SOX and GxP requirements

What You'll Bring

✅ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's a plus)

✅ 5–7 years of SAP S/4HANA experience with at least 1–2 full-cycle AP/AR implementations

•        Deep expertise in SAP’s Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
•         Deep expertise in Payments Integration with Banks

✅ Cross-module integration experience across FI, GL, CO, MM, and SD

✅ Basic ABAP debugging skills and understanding of SAP workflow and technical integrations

✅ Proven experience in SOX and/or GxP regulated environments

✅ A collaborative, global mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills

✅ A passion for continuous learning, AI adoption, and process innovation

Bonus Points If You Have...

⭐ Experience with SAP RISE / cloud migration initiatives

⭐ Exposure to AI, intelligent automation, or GenAI in a delivery context

⭐ Background in the pharmaceutical industry

⭐ Knowledge of PP, BW, or SAP Consolidation solutions (Group Reporting)
