Leidos is seeking an exceptionally capable Communications Systems Support Specialist to take on a pivotal role in the critical mission of USSTRATCOM/J7 at Offutt AFB in Omaha, NE. This is a rare opportunity to directly strengthen national‑level readiness and shape the training that drives some of the most consequential operations in the Department of Defense. An active TS/SCI is required.

Security Clearance:

Note: This position is part of a prospective contract and is contingent upon final award. Anticipated award date: August 2026.

Job Summary:

Step into a role where your technical expertise directly fuels mission success. As a Communications Systems Support Specialist, you will:

  • Define, plan, and configure automation and communications systems for exercises and training events that prepare warfighters for real‑world operations.

  • Operate communications systems during training, exercises, and real‑world event preparation, ensuring seamless, secure, and reliable mission execution.

  • Support users across audio, video, VTC, and data systems during training, exercises, and real‑world event preparation.

  • Work with a wide range of mission‑essential systems, including: secure/non‑secure telephones, DRSN, audio recorders, ECC, AMX video displays, DICES audio controllers, JIMDITS, multimedia video walls, GOLD, JWICS, GCCS‑J, VOIP terminals, STEN, NPES, and multi‑classification VTC systems.

  • Prepare and update communications data for all training events and scenarios.

  • Coordinate, schedule, maintain, test, and configure JTECC and conference room systems while maintaining configuration management documentation for all communications systems in JTECC and USSTRATCOM/J7 spaces.

  • Provide JECG augmentation during training, exercises, and real‑world event preparation.

  • Serve as a communications facilitator and role player as required to support mission‑focused training.

  • Manage laptop computers — this duty requires a Security+ certification.

Required Qualifications

You’ll excel in this role if you bring deep operational communications experience and a passion for supporting high‑stakes mission readiness. Candidates must:

  • Possess 10 years of experience demonstrating a thorough understanding of communications systems operations and conferencing.

  • Have at least 5 years of communications expertise gained through duties supporting one or more of the following missions:

    • USSTRATCOM GOC

    • Airborne Command Post (ABNCP)

    • National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC)
