Job Description

The Logistics Lead is a critical member of Esports Production Management, responsible for ensuring the reliable transport and delivery of physical and technical equipment across Riot’s global esports events and facilities. This role functions as the central owner of all shipping, international logistics, and internal equipment movement, enabling our production and engineering teams to execute effectively and on time.

This position centralizes logistics responsibilities, serving as the primary logistics service provider to EPM Event Production Managers and EET Technical Producers. The core objective is to manage all event shipping—on time, on budget, and with full accountability, freeing production teams to focus on event execution.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Esports Production Management (with direction from the EET Sr. Manager), the Lead acts as the primary point of contact for all EPM & EET logistics, including carnets, manifests, customs, and fleet scheduling. This is a hands-on coordination role requiring exceptional attention to detail, proactive communication, and the ability to manage complex, overlapping timelines with global partners.

Responsibilities:

Logistics Planning & Execution

  • Act as the single point of ownership for all EPM & EET logistics, consolidating disparate shipping requests from Production Managers and Technical Leads into a unified execution plan.
  • Execute all international and domestic shipping for EPM & EET equipment, ensuring full compliance with customs requirements, carnet documentation, and all regulatory constraints.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive shipping manifests and movement plans, coordinating with event, engineering, and craft leads to define requirements.
  • Serve as the global subject matter expert for all event shipping carnets, acting as a trusted resource for internal teams and external vendors.
  • Manage the relationship with the Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Riot EMEA Accounts Payable, overseeing the end-to-end process for carnet submission and issuance.

Fleet Tracking & Warehouse Asset Management

  • Own the complete lifecycle of EPM & EET assets, managing both physical and digital inventory across all global storage facilities.
  • Manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and fulfillment, to ensure 100% inventory accuracy and equipment readiness.
  • Own and maintain the EPM & EET Fleet Tracker, ensuring all elements and kits are properly scheduled, tracked, and assigned.
  • Partner with Production and Engineering Managers to schedule and deploy purpose-built equipment kits, ensuring the right gear is in the right location at the right time.
  • Continuously monitor kit utilization, condition, and availability to maximize readiness, resolve scheduling conflicts, and minimize idle inventory.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Act as the central logistics liaison for key partners, including TechOps, Event Production, and Riot Global Logistics.
  • Partner with EPM & EET Producers to integrate logistics timelines and requirements directly into the master production schedule.
  • Proactively communicate logistical plans, status updates, and risks to Production Managers and Technical Leads, ensuring alignment with event budgets and operational priorities.

Procurement & Sourcing Support

  • Manage all logistics components for large-scale procurement initiatives, ensuring equipment is sourced and delivered in alignment with project timelines.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Production teams to plan and execute the delivery of new equipment infrastructure.
  • Own vendor and warehouse coordination for key deliveries, confirming all shipping windows, and verifying receiving capabilities and documentation.

Reporting & Optimization

  • Develop, track, and report on key logistics KPIs, including on-time delivery, cost-per-shipment, shipping delays, and kit utilization.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, focusing on streamlining customs documentation, reducing shipping costs, and consolidating freight.
  • Own the development and maintenance of all logistics documentation, incl
