The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist (CVRT) is responsible for providing high-quality imaging services during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The CVRT works closely with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and effective care for patients undergoing cardiovascular imaging and interventions.
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment for cardiovascular procedures, including fluoroscopy, angiography, and other radiologic modalities.
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies.
- Position and monitor patients to ensure safety and image quality.
- Administer contrast media as directed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Adhere to all radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and imaging logs.
- Maintain equipment, perform quality assurance checks, and arrange for service as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with the cardiovascular team to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency procedures as required.
- Support infection control, patient privacy, and hospital policies at all times.
- Educate patients and families on procedure preparation and post-procedure care.
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Current ARRT certification (R) required.
- Advanced certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI) or Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) required.
- State licensure as applicable.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiovascular/interventional imaging preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, interventional procedures, and imaging techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Day Shift; 7:30a - 6p
Salary Range: $49.53/hr - $56.53/hr (Commensurate with Experience)
