CORE and Global Services (CGS) is a group of legal professionals working and supporting different legal areas such as Compliance, Regulatory Offerings, Ethics, Procurement, Corporate Matters and the Services Areas aligned with the new offerings and technologies such as Strategy & Consulting, Interactive, Technology, Security and Operations.
Procurement, NDA and Colocation & Software License Management- Support DCN Legal team within CGS functional area in India:
Procurement, NDA and Colocation Role Summary- Performing the due diligence, documenting and reviewing terms and conditions and negotiating through procurement contracts/sub-contracts, proposals, agreements, statements of work, NDAs and other documents relating to various operating groups; and assist in performing due diligence to ensure process compliance and risk mitigation in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and customer requirements.
License Management Role Summary – To support the Legal Services team in reviewing the End User License Agreement/License terms of various commercial and non-commercial software requested for installation within India Delivery Centre and to review, evaluate and recommend whether Accenture has right to reuse/redistribute assets such as software, tools, applications developed by Accenture, based on related third-party licenses and associated IP rights, and to define the scope and limits of Accenture's use and reuse of such assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generic Responsibilities
- Understand the CORE areas
- Understand relevant company policies
- Understand company's service offerings in context of the support area
- Understand company's approval processes and ensures that all stakeholders are timely engaged and informed on the relevant process
- Assist team in drafting checklists, process documents and generic tracking reports
- Directly liaising with internal stakeholders on various issues
- Recognize issues and provide timely escalation to Team Lead or appropriate stakeholders
- Understand and suggest process improvements in the support area
- Provide on the job training and support to the new joiners of the team
- Support implementation of new initiatives in the support area or within Legal/GLN
- Build credible and effective relationships within GLN team
- Support tech team in development of new tech tool or enhancement of existing ones
- Manage SharePoint and communication records.
Specific Responsibilities aligned to Role
- Demonstrate review skills with minimal dependency on supervisor inputs.
- Reviewing of contracts/sub - contracts, proposals, agreements and other documents relevant to CORE functional area strictly on need basis for process compliance;
- Provide assistance in negotiating the access related documentation and other contracts in collaboration with the account CM or legal counsel, ensuring proper risk mitigation before permitting colocation arrangement for Accenture client and client’s third party
- End to end responsibility to conduct compliance and risk analysis - for commercial software used in project solutions; for usage of software, tools, applications developed by Accenture; for reusable technical assets (applications) for global licensing.
- Review, evaluate and recommend whether Accenture has right to reuse/redistribute software, tools, applications developed by Accenture, based on related third-party licenses and associated IP rights, and to define the scope and limits of Accenture's use and reuse of such assets.
- Review, evaluate and recommend, the rights and restrictions involved in a software license agreement, end user license agreement for both commercial and non-commercial software and analyze the associated risks in using the software on Accenture owned devices in accordance with the users intended scope of usage.
- Directly liaising with internal stakeholders and deal teams on various legal and commercial software licensing aspects.
- Understand process improvements in CORE support area and assist team in drafting checklists and process documents.
- Support implementation of new initiatives in License Management area or within Legal Services (in addition to allocated role).
- Understand company's service offerings in context of License Management area and ensure compliance with applicable company policies and procedure and regulatory environment.
- Independent handling of the requestors, understanding the business requirements and advising on the process compliance.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders regularly for process improvement and tracking the requests and generating reports quarterly and annually for the senior management.
- Maintain process compliance in line with company policies and procedures and ensure issues are resolved and escalate to line manager with issues.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Certifications and Membership:
- Compliance related global professional certification considered a plus.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience at law firm or as in-house counsel and/or in legal outsourcing.
Work Requirements:
- Travel may be required
- Fluency in English (and other language, depending on geography supported) with strong oral and written communication skills.
