In this vital role, you will own and lead standard costing activities within Ops Finance for designated manufacturing sites or regions. You will act as a subject‑matter expert for standard costing and inventory accounting and provide oversight, governance, and leadership across the process.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support the end‑to‑end annual standard costing process, including planning, execution, review, and governance. This includes updates to clinical costing and Raw Material costing.
- Oversees product-costing updates in SAP S/4Hana
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of material, BOM, routing, labor, and overhead standards in SAP
- Lead absorption costing, excess capacity analysis, and related accounting assessments
- Oversee inventory accounting and valuation, including monthly close, reconciliations, and roll‑forwards
- Perform and review detailed cost and inventory variance analysis, providing insights to global stakeholders
- Act as a key finance partner to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Cost Accounting and Operations Finance teams
- Support S/4HANA implementation, enhancements, and global standardization of costing processes
- Drive process improvements, automation, and digital initiatives within standard costing and inventory accounting
- Manage and review work performed by junior team members or outsourced service providers, as applicable
- Assist to provide responses to internal and external audits related to inventory and costing
- Support strategic initiatives related to network optimization, new product introductions, and business expansions

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, manufacturing finance, or inventory accounting
- Proven experience owning standard costing processes in a complex manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of SAP / S/4HANA
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant / Certified Public Accountant or MBA (Finance)
- Audit or Big 4 Public Accounting experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP inventory accounting
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a global, cross‑functional, matrixed organization
- Mindset to drive transformation and optimize processes
- Ability to take initiative and work with a minimum level of direction in a fast-paced environment
