About the role
We are one of the world’s leading economic consulting firms. We strive to recruit and develop talented people to work together to produce meaningful economic analysis of exceptional quality, and to create a positive impact on our clients and society.
Our EMEA Energy team, with 60 professionals across Europe, is at the forefront of the transformation of energy markets. We advise governments, regulators, energy companies, financial investors, and legal counsels on issues spanning:
- Market design and regulation of electricity, gas and H2 markets along the value chain
- Energy transition strategies, climate policy, carbon markets, and decarbonisation pathways
- Industrial decarbonisation and industrial competitiveness
- Valuation of energy assets and investment decisions for utilities, infrastructure funds, and industrials
- Market modelling and financial modelling
- Competition and State aid investigations
- Regulatory and commercial disputes, including arbitration and litigation support
Our company is global, and our team main focus is on Europe, Africa and the Middle East, with projects in over 25 countries in the past year.
Our work combines cutting-edge economic research, deep energy sector expertise with applied market and financial modelling to help clients navigate the rapid transformation of energy systems.
Our recent public studies include, among others, a report for Business Europe on European competitiveness in the energy and climate transition, a report for Eurelectric on the evolution of system flexibility needs and the evolving concept of security of supply, a report for Naturgy Foundation on the evolution of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and a report for the Clean Air Task Force on the deployment of clean power technologies.
Due to expansion of our Energy practice, we are currently looking for a Senior Consultant with a number of years of professional experience in energy consulting.
You will work on both quantitative modelling and regulatory issues through projects all over Europe. You can be located in any of our European offices (i.e. Paris, London, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Brussels, Madrid and Helsinki) and will regularly work with colleagues in other offices.
