The GTM Strategy & Planning team serves as the strategic backbone of Vanta's go-to-market organization. We lead annual and long-term planning, shape growth strategy and expansion bets, design and oversee pilot and innovation programs, and provide executive-ready frameworks for decision-making. By orchestrating cross-functional initiatives, surfacing risks and opportunities, and advising on future-state organizational design, we ensure GTM resources are focused on the highest-leverage opportunities to drive predictable, sustainable growth.
The team also partners closely with GTM Leadership and Enablement to elevate the GTM employee experience through scalable engagement, recognition, and operational excellence programs—such as QBRs, CKO, President's Club, and GTM culture initiatives—that strengthen motivation, alignment, and connection across all customer-facing teams.

What you’ll do as a Senior GTM Strategist at Vanta:
Drive strategic initiatives and expansion bets: Own the design, business case development, and strategic planning for major GTM initiatives such as new market entry, channel expansion, and new GTM motions. Partner with leadership to evaluate opportunities, define success criteria, and create strategic roadmaps.
Lead strategic planning and analysis: Support annual and long-term GTM planning exercises. Conduct market analysis, competitive research, and strategic assessments to inform GTM strategy. Provide data-driven recommendations on resource allocation, organizational design, and growth opportunities.
Design frameworks and strategic tools: Build repeatable frameworks and strategic tools to improve decision-making across the GTM organization. Develop intake processes, evaluation criteria, and measurement approaches for strategic initiatives. Standardize how we assess and prioritize growth opportunities.
Serve as strategic advisor to leadership: Act as a thought partner to GTM leadership on strategic questions and organizational challenges. Synthesize cross-functional input, surface strategic risks and opportunities proactively, and create executive-ready frameworks and communications for decision-making.
How to be successful in this role:
Strategic thinking with operational rigor: 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or related roles with demonstrated ability to think strategically about GTM business models while executing tactically. Strong analytical and frameworks-based thinking combined with a bias for action. Ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution and ruthless prioritization.
GTM operational fluency: Deep understanding of go-to-market functions, sales models, and revenue operations, ideally within B2B SaaS. Experience with GTM planning, market expansion strategies, or revenue operations is strongly preferred. Understands how sales, marketing, and customer success teams operate and how to optimize across the funnel.
Strategic advisory and influence: Exceptional communication and influencing skills. Proven ability to serve as a strategic advisor to GTM leadership, navigate ambiguity, and build consensus across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, and Executive teams without formal authority.
