Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Global Product Innovation is recognized as a technically reliable, flexible, innovative, and customer‑oriented department.
  • Enable data‑driven product and process development.
  • Apply advanced statistical methods to analyze production and product data.
  • Shares insights and standards within the KL Group to support harmonization.
  • Keep supervisors informed of key project progress and unusual events.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of internal and third‑party data in line with Need‑to‑Know principles.
  • Ensure effective cooperation and information flow with other departments.
  • Maintain external contacts with universities, institutes, and partners.
  • Independently manage projects in statistics, data science, and AI.
  • Evaluate and clearly communicate results.
  • Act as a technical business partner for IT.
  • Build and maintain internal and external professional networks.
  • Assess feasibility of requests and promote data analytics technologies.
  • Support process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Lead or contribute to cross‑functional teams.
  • Continuously develop expertise and guide colleagues in analytics tools.
  • Deliver internal and customer trainings.
  • Adhere to know‑how and IP protection regulations.
  • Ensure strict protection of core assets and comply with WI‑SP‑11‑002 R&D document control/IP protection.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or above in natural sciences (chemistry, physics, mathematics, or a related field), with strong expertise in statistical methods.
  • Strong programming skills (Python/R).
  • Knowledge of chemical analytics and organic chemistry.
  • Experience in cheminformatics, materials informatics, generative AI, and machine learning; familiarity with relational databases (e.g. SQL) and simulation techniques.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a team player;
  • Structured and goal‑oriented work style.
  • Fluent English – oral and written.
  • Ability to explain complex matters,willingness to travel.
