What you will do:
The role spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial bids to the final payment:
What you will do:
Cost Estimation & Planning:
Preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates by analyzing architectural and engineering drawings to determine material, labor, and equipment needs.
Prepare and assess cost estimates for construction projects to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
Develop, manage, and track project budgets to ensure cost control and efficient resource allocation.
Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BQ) in alignment with project specifications and scope.
Tendering & Procurement:
Floating inquiries to subcontractors, performing rate analysis, and managing the bidding process to select the most cost-effective mechanical suppliers.
Perform accurate quantity take-offs based on technical drawings and project documentation.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms, particularly regarding cost, scope, and project timelines.
Contract Administration:
Preparing and negotiating contract documents, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and managing subcontractor agreements.
Maintain comprehensive records, including contracts, budgets, change orders, and project progress reports.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective project delivery.
Collaborate and develop good relationship with clients and stakeholders internally and externally
Progress Claims & Valuations:
Verifying the actual work completed on-site to certify monthly progress claims and payments for subcontractors.
Variation Management:
Identifying, pricing, and negotiating Variation Orders (VOs) when design changes occur to ensure they stay within budget limits.
Final Accounts:
Reconciling all costs at the end of a project to settle final accounts and provide detailed financial reports to stakeholders.
What we look for:
Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, M&E Engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Experience with tendering for large-scale building projects above 20 Million.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Provide training, education and share relevant work experience to peers.
Ability to multitask at work on fast paced environment.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team
