Role Overview:

eBay needs a skilled Sr. Product Manager to lead the advancement of our Seller Payments team. This position emphasizes finding opportunities and implementing strategies with measurable effects. The role calls for strategic insight to promote innovation and boost market efficiency globally. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop global product strategies and work alongside regional business leaders, product teams, and domain experts. They focus on building core payment capabilities and tailoring features for local market success. Outstanding ability to build relationships and influence partners at all levels is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and complete the product strategy and roadmap for Seller Payments, ensuring a strengths-based approach with a global perspective.
  • Agile Product Ownership: Serve as the Product Owner, providing clear product vision to the scrum team and co-leading the Agile process with engineering counterparts to reach roadmap achievements.
  • Prioritization & Planning: Establish product/backlog prioritization, balancing immediate deliverables with long-term technology investments.
  • Platform Development: Translate commerce requirements into versatile payment capabilities adaptable to various processors, types, and models.
  • AI Integration: Leverage AI to enhance product capabilities, improve decision-making processes, and optimize user experiences!
  • Evangelism & Collaboration: Act as a product evangelist, working closely with business partners and engineering leaders to align strategies.
  • Communication & Influence: Effectively communicate strategies and trade-offs to senior leaders and development teams, encouraging alignment and understanding.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Incorporate market trends and technological developments into effective improvements for Seller Payments.

Job Requirements:

  • Expertise: Deep subject matter expertise in technologies and products essential for launching payment solutions at scale globally.
  • Agile Experience: Proficient in agile development processes.
  • UX Focus: Experience in developing innovative product features with a strong emphasis on UX development.
  • AI Skills: Knowledge of AI technologies and their use in product management to foster innovation and improve efficiency.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to ask insightful questions to build product perspectives and articulate requirements.
  • Balance & Impact: Skill in balancing technical possibilities with business impact, communicating effectively to drive significant outcomes.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships, actively listen, communicate clearly, and work toward mutually beneficial solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree or MBA degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 7+ years of robust product management experience preferably in e-commerce/marketplaces
  • 3+ years of experience in payments domain, Deep understanding of payments domain would be preferred
