We are currently seeking a Clinical Forecasting Analyst II to join our diverse and dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in clinical out of pocket (OOP) planning from the concept phase through execution and closeout and is responsible for clinical out of pocket cost forecasting and supporting budget creation and management for assigned projects.
What you will be doing:
Will work closely with Management to drive functional forecasting efforts, be accountable for data content used in functional decision making around OOP external resource requirements, participate in providing analytics, developing training documentation, support process improvement projects, and be a part of any system requirements/testing initiatives.
Collects the key cost drivers and assumptions and required information to develop a trial budget forecast estimate.
Works with the project team to generate high-level estimates in support of therapeutic area strategy reviews and financial updates with time sensitivity and accuracy for standard and non-standard requests.
Leads consolidating detailed trial budget assumptions and costs based on contracted values (i.e. Investigator Fees, Central Labs, affiliate costs, etc.) for efficient review by business partners.
Support governance or budget gap review meetings as requested. Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and presentation of trial
budgets to the leadership team and preparing business recommendations based on the analysis of these budgets.Supports the TA/portfolio by providing financial leadership, strategic thinking, and budget support.
Supports quarterly financial closes for clinical trial expenses including but not limited to collection of accruals, preparation of journal entries and completion of commentary on material variances from plan.
Provides process training, communications, and guidance as needed to support business leaders with budget responsibility.
Identifies and participates in opportunities to continuously improve process, tools, and analytical methodologies in support of optimal forecasting and execution of clinical trial spend.
Your Profile:
Minimum of a BA/BS degree or a minimum of 3 years’ equivalent work experience required.
At least 3 years in industry experience with minimum of 2 years of experience within a drug development environment is required. Experience in clinical trial forecasting with a pharmaceutical company and/or a CRO is strongly preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in working within team/function environment is required.
He/she must have excellent time management, priority setting and communications skills.
Individuals should have the ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook with special emphasis on utilizing Excel spreadsheets to complete business analyses
Experience with tools and systems such as Planisware, Cognos, Beacon, Medidata, Tableau, Advanced Excel is preferred.
