Who we are looking for:
We are seeking an Associate Director, Social Media Strategist and subject matter expert to join one of the largest teams at VML working on a new client.
Who you are:
You're a curious, culturally-fluent strategist who loves to question assumptions and challenge the status quo. You'll uncover insights that can guide a brand's ideas and decisions and play a key role in shaping their overall approach to social. You are a strong collaborator who is passionate about sports, enabling you to connect with the fan mindset and inspire your creative and strategic partners.
What you’ll do:
- Develop social strategies, social playbooks, activations and campaign ideas
- Conduct and synthesize research, social listening and other data to guide a brand's strategic decisions
- Partner with creative, strategy, data and media teams to support a brand's social marketing goals
- Onboard and train junior team members
What you’ll need:
- 6+ years of social marketing experience
- Experience leading projects and overseeing the work of junior strategists and community managers
- Advanced understanding of social platforms and functions, and the ability to share that knowledge with others
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Strong communication and presentation skills
