About the role
Location: Johannesburg
As a Warehouse Co-ordinator Outbound, you will play a key role in supporting Stryker’s distribution operations in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for coordinating all outbound warehouse activities, ensuring that materials, supplies, and equipment are processed, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently in line with established procedures and quality standards.
What You Will Do
Coordinate outbound activities including picking, packing, shipping, and dispatch processes.
Prepare and manage shipping schedules to regulate the flow of goods and ensure timely deliveries.
Ensure all outbound shipments comply with company procedures, quality standards, and trade regulations.
Process and verify shipping documentation, including trade compliance and customs requirements where applicable.
Account for materials and supplies within the warehouse and support inventory control activities such as cycle counts and lot consolidation.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, or documentation.
Support Warehouse Supervisors with troubleshooting and operational issue resolution.
Monitor space utilization and support initiatives to optimize warehouse efficiency.
Train new team members in outbound processes, ensuring adherence to safety and work instructions.
Escalate operational challenges where necessary, applying sound judgment based on experience.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance service quality and reduce operational costs.
Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at local and regional levels.
Promote a safe working environment and ensure all outbound activities are completed with a high level of accuracy.
What You Will Need
Required:
Matric (essential)
Professional working proficiency in English
3–5 years of experience in a warehousing or logistics environment
Strong working knowledge of warehouse processes and ERP/WMS systems (e.g., JDE or similar)
Comprehensive understanding of outbound logistics procedures and compliance standards
Ability to apply sound judgment and make operational decisions based on experience
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Proactive mindset with the ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
Preferred:
NQF5 (qualification or currently studying towards one)
Tertiary education (College or University)
Experience in trade compliance and export documentation
Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives
