Description

The Core Firmware team is seeking an engineering manager to lead a team of systems software engineers responsible for extending and improving the system services and language runtimes for the Apple firmware ecosystem. These OS-style runtime services are used by other teams to develop the firmwares that run the rich set of embedded cores that are part of every Apple SoC. As a leader of this team, you will partner with the leaders of other teams to manage current and future requirements that those teams have, with the goal of ensuring that the firmware ecosystem can support those requirements well ahead of system bring-up for future products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with experts in multiple technology areas, including microkernels, system security, computer languages, introspection technologies, and many more. This posting is for an existing opportunity at Apple. For postings in Ontario, qualified candidates can expect a hiring rate up to the midpoint of the pay range. On an exceptional basis, candidates with significant experience and skills for the role may be paid up to the range maximum.
