Role

We are seeking an experienced and service driven Chief Concierge to join Janu Tokyo. This role is suited for a hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic luxury environment and who brings both operational strength and a genuine passion for personalised service. Reporting to the Rooms leadership team, and lead the Concierge function, setting the tone for what memorable guest experiences look and feel like at Janu. Here, every encounter matters, you will help make sure they feel genuine and effortless, but always special. You will run the show for daily concierge operations. That means making sure every guest feels looked after, every detail is coordinated, and your team is aiming higher every day. You will build real relationships, set the pace, and inspire your team to deliver service that feels personal and joyful.

Responsibilities

• Give every guest that signature Janu welcome, always meeting Janu’s high standards
• Make sure every guest interaction feels warm, connected, and true to Janu’s spirit
• Lead, organize, and supervise the Concierge desk so everything runs smoothly
• Offer personalised recommendations, handle VIPs, long-stay guests, and make special arrangements
• Take care of guest requests such as restaurants, transport, local events, cultural experiences, you name it
• Lead by example, coaching and motivating your team on the floor
• Work closely with Rooms, F&B, Guest Relations, and outside partners to make every guest journey seamless
• Keep an eye on service quality, response times, guest satisfaction and keep pushing for better
• Stay on top of records and communication using all hotel systems
• Keep the Concierge desk organised, ready, and looking sharp at all times
• Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and all operational procedures
• Help with training and developing Concierge team members
• Bring fresh ideas for guest engagement, innovation, and efficiency

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of practical experience as a concierge or similar role
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in a luxury hotel environment
• Practical experience as a manager
• Practical knowledge of labour management and practical experience in shift scheduling
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Advanced business-level English proficiency (CEFR C1 or higher)
• Advanced business-level Japanese proficiency (CEFR C1 or higher)
• Advanced operational skills in hotel systems such as Opera, HotSOS, and Alice
• Advanced PC skills including MS Office and typing
