Objectives of this role:
Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times
Raise the bar continually for writing fresh Arabic 1st copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action
Be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on communication channels and different audiences.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication
Stay current on Deliveroo's appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging.
Responsibilities:
Interpret creative briefs to develop concepts (Arabic 1st)
Work with the brand and marketing team to develop Arabic 1st copy and captions for campaigns
Work with the marketing team to develop Arabic 1st copy for CRM and other owned channels
Translating content from English to Arabic and vice versa ~ main skillset strength is Arabic copywriting
Research and understand customer needs and target audiences in the UAE and Kuwait ~ Ability to write up copy in Arabic that suits the dialect for UAE & Kuwait market (it will entail Local Arabic Khaliji that is relevant for UAE & for Kuwait (different dialect than UAE) ~ not only white formal Arabic
Write original Arabic 1st copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials
Present Arabic copy concepts and final deliverables to the team
Revise Arabic copy based on feedback
Required skills and qualifications:
2-3 years of professional Arabic copywriting experience, with a solid portfolio of work
Exceptional writing and research skills
Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
Excellent organisational skills and multitasking ability
Preferred skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, Arabic, (incl.English), communications, or literature
Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides
Experience with content management systems
A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design
