GOC | Junior Cloud Engineer

Role Summary and Impact 

As part of the Global Operations Centre (GOC), you will work closely with teams across the United States, Europe, and Asia to deliver high-impact solutions in a collaborative, multicultural environment. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. You will work alongside experienced engineers, supporting the development and maintenance of scalable, secure, and performant cloud infrastructure that powers our innovative data products and AI platforms.

What you will do:

Support Cloud Infrastructure Deployment and Management 

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure components on platforms such as AWS and/or GCP, following established designs and best practices. 
• Learn to utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to manage cloud resources and contribute to IaC module development under guidance. 
• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and contribute to the implementation of cloud solutions for our data products and AI platforms. 

Contribute to Automation and Operational Support 

• Support the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, assisting with automation of deployment and testing processes. 
• Monitor cloud services and applications, contributing to the identification and resolution of operational issues and performance bottlenecks. 
• Assist in collecting and analyzing metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure the health and efficiency of our cloud environments. 

Uphold Security and Best Practices 

• Learn and apply cloud security best practices, assisting in the configuration of IAM policies, network security groups, and other security controls. 
• Contribute to documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures. 
• Work with the team to ensure our cloud environments adhere to internal standards and contribute to compliance efforts. 

Learn, Collaborate, and Innovate 

• Actively participate in team discussions, knowledge sharing sessions, and code reviews to deepen your understanding of cloud technologies and WPP's ecosystem. 
• Provide technical support to development teams for cloud-related issues and questions. 
• Research new cloud services and features, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to the team.
