What you will have an opportunity to do:

Spire Bar was added to the hotel in 2021 during the renovation and stands as the headquarters of the Biltmore’s lively social scene. The beautiful outdoor bar and lounge has 250-seats serving a delicious array of refreshing cocktails, wines, and culinary creations.   

Wright Bar is the Biltmore’s famous (and infamous) lobby bar embodying the renegade spirit of Hollywood’s Golden Age featuring craft cocktails and a light bar menu to include our signature Tequila Sunrise - the legendary cocktail that was invented here in the 1930’s! 

The Spire/Wright Bar Server Assistant is responsible for ensuring that the dining room and patio are clean, and tables are cleared and set in a timely fashion. As well as providing each guest with water upon arrival to their table and continuing to refill their glass.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Greet guests in a warm and professional manner.

• Set up bus stations with glassware, tea set-ups, coffee, tea, lemons and ice. Keep items stocked throughout your shift.

• Keep dining room set up completely and correctly with clean, polished silverware, clean linen and glassware ensuring that each table is the same as the next.

• Ensure that the bus station is fully stocked with all polished silver and glassware.

• Outside bus station will remain clean and organized at the beginning and end of each shift.

• Assist servers with guest requests. Offer water and refill as needed. Keep ashtrays clean.

• Clear each course after everyone at the table has finished eating, unless the guest asks you not to. Remove items from the table that the customer does not need.

• Re-set tables. Check linen for quality/cleanliness and proper placement each tablecloth draped evenly around all sides of every table. Silverware should be polished and evenly set.

• Assist the servers in any way possible to assure quality service.

• Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.

This is a Full-Time position. You must be able to work afternoons, evenings and nights.
