Job Description

The Application Support Specialist CE-MS associate is responsible for Provide pre- and post-sales application support for Capillary Electrophoresis instruments and consumables. Conduct customer trainings, demos, workshops, and scientific presentations (on-site and virtual).

This position reports to the Head-Application Support and is part of the Application Team located in Centre of Excellence-Bengaluru and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide pre- and post-sales application support for Capillary Electrophoresis instruments and consumables.

  • Assist customers with method development, optimization, and troubleshooting for CE workflows.

  • Support applications including protein characterization, charge variant analysis, glycan profiling, and small molecule analysis.

  • Conduct customer trainings, demos, workshops, and scientific presentations (on-site and virtual).

  • Troubleshoot issues related to sample preparation, instrument operation, data acquisition, and interpretation.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, application notes, SOPs, and training materials.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Service, and Product teams to support business and customer success.

  • Capture and relay customer feedback and field insights to internal stakeholders.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Postgraduate degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field.

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Capillary Electrophoresis or related analytical techniques.

  • Prior experience in application support, R&D, analytical development, QC, or customer-facing scientific roles preferred.

  • Skill Sets:

  • Strong understanding of Capillary Electrophoresis principles and applications with Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exposure to HPLC/UPLC or Mass Spectrometry is an added advantage.

  • Highest levels of personal and professional integrity and ethics with good verbal and written English language communication skills.

  • Proven experience of teaching or training the use of separations sciences equipment.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role:

As this is field-based Job based out of Bangalore (India) and support to be extended majorly to BioPharma customer across India. The role demands about 60% of travel within India.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience working in pharma/biopharma analytical laboratories.

  • Familiarity with regulated (GxP) environments and documentation practices.
